TCP port 443 / HTTPS should be permitted. There is no need to expose student information to the firewall provider when requesting access.
What the service is
Pastoral Hub brings school pastoral, attendance, academic, behaviour, learning-support and transition information into protected role-aware workspaces for authorised staff.
Web application delivery
The service is delivered over HTTPS using Vercel's web application infrastructure. Protected data services are accessed by the application through controlled server routes wherever practical, so partner-school browsers can stay focused on the Pastoral Hub hostname.
Access controls
School workspaces require approved authentication or a deliberately issued secure transition-workspace link. Knowing a general Pastoral Hub URL does not grant access to protected student records.
Public site separation
The public site at pastoralhub.co.nz contains product, privacy, security and IT information only. Student records are not published on the public site.
If your filter still blocks the site
Some school security products temporarily restrict newly registered, newly observed or unrated domains. If the HTTPS site is reachable outside the school network but blocked inside it, please allow the domains above or request that your filtering provider categorise Pastoral Hub as a legitimate education / school web application.
Please record the filtering vendor, block category and exact blocked hostname. That information makes vendor recategorisation much faster.
